The short version
- This site has no accounts, no forms and no ads.
- Google Analytics only runs if you tap Accept.
- If you email me, I keep the conversation. Ask and I'll delete it.
Who I am
agb-labs.com is the portfolio of Adam Guy Bell, trading as AGB Labs, in Manchester, UK. I'm the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
What I collect, and why
Visiting this site
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, which demos you try, how you found the site, roughly where you are (country and city) and what device you use. I use it to see what people read and what to improve. If you choose Necessary only, it never loads. My reason (lawful basis): consent. See the cookie policy.
The product demos run in your browser. Nothing you type or tap in them is sent anywhere.
Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the request for each page, including your IP address, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. My reason: legitimate interests (keeping the site up and secure).
If you email me
I keep your message and my reply, so I can answer you. My reason: legitimate interests.
Who helps me run the site
| Who | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, security, and forwarding email sent to [email protected] | Global |
| Google (Gmail) | The inbox for emails you send me | Global |
| Google Analytics | Site analytics, only if you accept | Global |
Fonts are hosted on this site, so if you decline analytics your browser makes no requests to Google at all.
Where data goes outside the UK, it's protected by the UK's adequacy rules or by approved contract terms (the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement).
How long I keep it
- Analytics: Google Analytics deletes visit-level data after 2 months, and anything tied to a returning visitor after 14 months.
- Emails: as long as the conversation is useful, or until you ask me to delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, stop or limit how I use it, or object to it. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with cookie settings. Email [email protected] and I'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though I'd like the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
